I completed my PhD in English and Media Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in April 2020. My research looked at how reality television and digital culture construct ideas of professional achievement and success for tween, teen, and young adult girls living in today’s celebrity-oriented and entrepreneurial gig economy.
Before moving to Wisconsin for graduate school in 2013, I called New Mexico and Montana home. I also worked as a videographer, community college instructor, and marketing and design professional. In this next stage of my career, I am seeking opportunities to work in content marketing and brand management in tech, nonprofit, or higher ed admin.
When I’m not spending my days writing and researching, I can be found concocting my latest cross stitch design, organizing viewing parties for The Bachelor, playing Pokemon Go with my friends, and planning my next hiking trip.
